Fluent Vacation: 10-24 November
Please note that I will be going on a trip over the coming two weeks to fulfil some major life tasks (including a maid of honor speech!! Please send me tips!).
To keep you entertained during the coming two weeks, I would like to recommend:
Two guest posts I published recently:
Both of these articles don't cover Fluent's usual pro-language topics but instead offer a look behind the scenes of how I'm trying to make a living as your favourite language tutor.
The blogs they are on are also great, respectively, which leads me on to..
My favourite things to read
This blog is written by André Klein, a great person to know if you like learning German, open-source culture and interesting projects. Just look at his Genowrin book! He writes for language learners, independent publishers and language teachers.
- How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
This is a classic! Dale Carnegie's writing is fun, and to be honest I had no clue how old this book really was. I'd definitely recommend this book to language learners - we're trying to communicate, after all, and should cover all aspects.
- Never Go Back by Lee Child
I love Jack Reacher. Who doesn't love Jack Reacher?
This blog by Andrew Weiler is full of ideas about language learning and approaching your studies in new ways. If you're a teacher or a learner looking for ways to improve learning styles, you'll find plenty of ideas here.
What are you reading online and offline at the moment?
